Calle Winter League

400.00 USD

This isn’t your typical league -  it’s the first run of something new.
An underground, invite-only experiment that's testing the format, the flow, and the community before opening it to the public next half of the winter.

Inspired by the structure of Formula 1, this Calle Winter League brings that same spirit of rivalry, promotion, and pressure into a the 4v4 street format we play at Calle.

Each session feels like drop in play — fast games, rotating courts, and points on the line.
Every team is fighting for their spot in the top division and a shot at two titles:

  • League Champion – crowned after 6 weeks of ranked play

  • Tournament Champion – crowned in the 8th week 1v1 tournament

This is a trial season, a proof of concept, and an invitation to help shape what’s next.

Format

The Calle Winter League is built on a 4v4 King of the Court setup - fast games, constant rotation, and high energy. Each team has five players total (four on the court and one sub).

Every week, there are two sessions: one for Division 1 (D1) and one for Division 2 (D2). Each session runs for about an hour and a half and features four teams battling it out on one court.

If you win, you stay. If you lose, you rotate out, and the next team steps on.
This continues for the entire session, creating a constant rhythm of short, intense matches. The more games your team wins during that time, the higher you’ll finish in your division for that week.

The league is structured into two tiers:

  • Division 1 (D1) – The top four teams

  • Division 2 (D2) – The bottom four teams

At the start of the season, there’s a Qualifying Night where all eight teams play that same format- top 2 teams from each session will start the season in  Division 1. After that, movement happens every week: the top team in D2 is promoted to D1, and the bottom team in D1 is relegated to D2.

This creates constant motion - no one is ever safe, and every game matters.
Your team’s performance each week earns league points, which carry over through the entire season. After 6 weeks of league play, the team with the most points is crowned the League Champion. Then, in Week 8, all eight teams face off in a double-elimination 1v1 Tournament Night to determine the Peoples Champion.

🧮 Point System

Points are how we track performance from week to week.
Teams in Division 1 earn more because they’re competing at the higher level.
Division 2 teams earn fewer, but promotion gives them the chance to score big later on.

Here’s how it works:

  • In Division 1, the team that finishes 1st that week earns 12 points, followed by 10, 8, and 6 for the other three teams.

  • In Division 2, the weekly winner earns 5 points, followed by 4, 3, and 2.

This means that even the lowest-ranked Division 1 team still earns more than the top Division 2 team, so staying in the top division always pays off.

Your team’s points add up across the entire season to form the league table.
Consistency, effort, and teamwork matter more than one lucky night.
